A close friend of mine bought a used Phantom a couple of years ago and within six months he was looking at a repair bill that genuinely made me feel sick, something to do with the suspension and a couple of electrical issues that nobody caught before he bought it. Now I'm in the market for one myself and I keep thinking about his experience, because the car I'm looking at in Al Safa looks stunning and the seller is very convincing but I know these things can hide problems that cost a fortune to put right. Someone suggested I look into a genuine Rolls Royce pre purchase inspection in Al Safa before I get too attached, and honestly after what happened to my friend I think they're right. But part of me wonders if an inspection can even catch the kind of issues these cars develop, or if it's just a box ticking exercise that gives you false confidence. Has anyone had one done on a Rolls and did it actually uncover anything meaningful?
