One of the most common silent errors is dates that don’t match each other.

The system automatically calculates the difference between date of birth, issue date and expiry. If the passport was “issued” to a 12-year-old or the validity period doesn’t match the country’s rules – instant flag. Even if it looks perfect visually.

It hurts especially when the dates inside the document are consistent, but already conflict with the selfie or other files.

The robot doesn't compare text, it compares letterforms. Stroke weight, kerning, letter spacing – all measured in pixels.

Swap Narrow for Regular and a visually flawless document flies into rejection. The difference to the eye is near zero; to the machine it's a chasm.

A "similar" font doesn't exist. Arial instead of Helvetica, a slightly different slant – and the template no longer matches the reference in the check database.

The typeface is the document's signature. Every country, every revision has its own. An error of one stroke weight outweighs a perfect photo.
