So here I am sitting in my office in DIFC, staring out the window at my car in the parking lot, absolutely dreading the walk down there because I already know what's waiting for me. I had a feeling this morning when I started the car and it took a few extra cranks to turn over, but of course I ignored it and convinced myself it was just because the car had been sitting in the garage over the weekend. Now it's almost 7pm, most of my colleagues have already left, and I'm pretty sure I'm going to walk down to a dead battery and spend the next two hours trying to figure out how to get home to the kids. I called my wife and told her to go ahead and eat dinner without me because this is probably going to be a whole ordeal. I'm not really the type who carries jumper cables or knows how to flag down strangers for help, especially in a business district where everyone's in a rush to get home. I've been scrolling through my phone trying to find some kind of solution that doesn't involve me standing there awkwardly hoping someone takes pity on me, and I guess if you're in a similar situation you can visit this page for emergency jumpstart near DIFC, which seems like a decent starting point. Has anyone actually used a service around this area during peak evening hours, and if so, did they actually get to you quickly or did you end up waiting forever? I'm really hoping I don't end up being that guy sitting in the dark parking lot at 9pm watching YouTube videos while I wait, because that's honestly the kind of evening I'm trying to avoid. Any advice or recommendations would seriously save my night right now.
